It was in the heart of Essaouira’s golden landscapes, Morocco, that we settled in, surrounded by dazzling light, the sea breeze, and the gentle way of life so characteristic of Morocco. For our photo shoot, Villa Primera at Jardin des Douars was the obvious choice: the perfect setting to showcase the new leo & ugo Spring/Summer 2025 collection, inspired by the warm hues of the desert and the sun, designed to complement both summer silhouettes and spring dresses.
Villa Primera: an enchanting setting for a radiant collection
Nestled in the hills, Villa Primera at Jardin des Douars is a true haven of peace. Its architecture, blending local inspiration with contemporary touches, creates an intimate and welcoming atmosphere with the vibrant colors of our fashion collection. The spacious, light-filled terraces, the pool offering a breathtaking view, and the gardens invite you to relax. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the colorful furnishings to the intoxicating scents of the surrounding plants. But our journey was not limited to the walls of this sumptuous villa... Essaouira captivated us with its charming winding streets and unique craftsmanship.
An immersion in local culture
Essaouira is a city rich in traditions and flavors. We were lucky enough to discover the souk, a maze of lively alleyways filled with the aromas of spices, the colors of Berber rugs, and the sound of artisans working with terracotta.
The delights of Essaouira
It is impossible to talk about Essaouira without mentioning its cuisine. We fell in love with Dar Baba restaurant, where we enjoyed delicious and authentic traditional Moroccan dishes. And of course, we couldn't resist sfenj doughnuts, those delicious fried treats found on every street corner.
Between sand and light: a shoot off the beaten path
A few kilometers from Essaouira, we followed our instincts. Far from the hustle and bustle, we found ourselves surrounded by dunes, silence, and an almost surreal light. This is where we captured part of the Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Nothing was fixed: just nature all around us, and the wind blowing in perfect harmony with the spirit of the season. This suspended moment reminded us why we love creating: to make room for the unexpected, movement, and everything that cannot be controlled.
But beyond the scenery, it was the encounters that made this stay so special. We discovered far more than a beautiful place: faces, stories, and sincere hospitality. These exchanges and shared moments gave our getaway a unique dimension, transforming a simple trip into a true immersion.
